After scrolling through the internet looking for other styles and examples of nursing sports bras I was able to find a few. Most of these however, are bras that I have tried in the past without much success. Often what defines a ‘sports bra’ is the shape and whilst these bras can appear to have a ‘crop top’ style shape, they do not offer additional support, especially if you are doing moderate to high intensity exercise. Some ‘nursing sports bras’ are labelled so because they have thicker straps and a wider band underneath the cups. Without having the right fabric and design over the cup this style essentially becomes a frumpy ‘everyday’ bra because again there is no additional support – at least not in the right places. After having my daughter I had to resort to wearing 2 sports bras to give me ample support for high intensity exercise during my breastfeeding days. Whilst it did the job, I must say it was not terribly comfortable. If I did need to stop and feed part way through my session, it was completely awkward trying to keep some dignity whilst trying to access my boobs!
I must say that the Cadenshae Fit2feed bra is a sheer delight! The bra certainly delivers everything it says it will. After taking this bra for a test run (literally!) I can attest to it being suitable for high impact exercise. I love that I didn’t have to wear 2 sports bras to feel comfortable running. It is firm, without being uncomfortable. The material provides ample support without feeling restrictive or hot. I myself feel that the bra offers enough coverage to feel comfortable running in the bra alone. Although, it is likely that many women would prefer a little extra coverage, which is simply based on personal preference. Those that wish for extra coverage would only need to wear a breast feeding friendly top over the bra. Look out for my next product review on the Cadenshae Lose Fit Tank which does team perfectly over the Fit2feed Nursing Bra.
The measurement chart provided by Cadenshae was accurate. The Fit2Feed bra is not for every woman though, fitting cup sizes A-D only. Women with cup sizes DD or larger will feel comfortable in the ‘Ultimate Bra’ which retails for $69.99. This bra has may similar features to the Fit2feed bra. For a full product description visit the Polka Dot Pop website. From an online buyers perspective the product appearance on the Polka Dot Pop website are true and accurate. You wont be disappointed to with the vibrant colours, which are just as they appear on the website, and because Polka Dot Pop only uses ‘real pregnant women’ rather than models with inserts, the active wear fits as it appear on the website too. The returns policy is clearly explained here. The only negative I would suggest is that return-shipping is at the buyers expense , unless the product is faulty. Given that the sizing charts were very accurate and that the products do appear as they do online, the chances of you having to return the item are probably very slim. Postage costs a reasonable flat rate of $10, unless you request express post (where you will incur higher rates). Free shipping is offered for orders over $200 in a single transaction. Estimated shipping time is posted on the website, and tracking details are sent to each customer. Although free postage is not offered for all purchases I myself would be happy to pay the $10 flat rate, as the products are of excellent quality, are at a fair price point, and are unique items that you are not likely to find in local stores (especially not at the prices offered online). Overall I was very impressed with the Fit2feed Nursing Sports Bra and definitely recommend it to any pregnant or breastfeeding woman with a Cup size A-D wanting to engage in moderate to high impact exercise.
